Cadence — Privacy Policy

Cadence ("we", "us") lets you share one song a day, follow friends, and receive an auto-generated daily playlist. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address (from email, Google, or Apple sign-in), display name, username, and optional profile photo.
• Spotify information (only if you connect Spotify) — your Spotify account identifier and access tokens, used solely to create and update playlists on your behalf. We never see your Spotify password.
• Content you create — the songs you pick, optional notes, likes, and who you follow.
• Notifications — if you opt in, a push token for your device so we can send the reminders and alerts you enabled.
• Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address and request timestamps, used for security and reliability.

How we use it

• To operate the core service: your daily pick, your feed, follows, likes, and the daily playlist.
• To send notifications you have turned on.
• To keep the service secure and to prevent abuse.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Cadence:

• Spotify — to build and update your playlists (only if you connect Spotify).
• Hosting, email, and push providers — our server host, transactional email provider, and push-notification delivery service.
• Authentication providers — Google and Apple, when you use those sign-in options.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your choices

• Delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. This permanently removes your profile, picks, follows, and likes from Cadence.
• Disconnect Spotify at any time at spotify.com/account/apps.
• Manage notifications in the app or in your device Settings.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data.

Children

Cadence is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
